Temporary breach in hiatus

“I… don’t know what I did to deserve your love. I don’t know why the gods brought me to you. When I was stolen from my home and sold as a slave, I could have ended up in any of a million places, but I can’t imagine any place would have been nearly so wonderful as at your side. I… every time you smile or say my name or tell me you love me, I thank the gods for bringing us together.” —Handmaid Elissa

So this is pretty cool. Last week I commissioned comic artist MJ Barros for a portrait of Queen Viarra and Elissa from my novel First Empress. I love how it turned out and thought I’d share with my beloved readers. MJ is in the process of drawing a Lady Knights comic called Order of the Belfry that I’m excited for. And if anyone out there has ever wanted a portrait of one of their favorite or original characters, MJ is currently having a sale on commissions and I heartily encourage folks to consider tossing her an email.

As always, thanks for reading, folks! Take care and stay awesome!

Just wanted to share this beautiful picture of Queen Viarra and Elissa, her handmaiden and lover from Sartorially Smart Heroines and his upcoming novel First Empress.
